Story behind the image: I wondered as I took this photo of the Greater Flamingos just how long their necks really are, so of course I looked up more information about their necks and I found out that their necks are roughly 20 inches long. However, looking at them, it certainly looks like their necks are longer.
Method: Digital photograph taken with a Nikon Z8, and Nikkor 200-500mm zoom lens through a blind on the wetland of Saline Nature Reserve Priolo in Sicily, Italy using high resolution photography to ensure details are preserved.
