IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
Story behind the image: I had wanted to photograph the Greater Flamingos for quite some time, so I planned my trip to Sicily with them in mind. In this image I love the different positions in which their necks are being held from the S-curve to the curled and tucked in sleeping pose.
Method: Digital photograph taken with a Nikon Z8, and Nikkor 200-500mm zoom lens through a blind on the wetland of Saline Nature Reserve Priolo in Sicily, Italy using high resolution photography to ensure details are preserved.
