Resplendent Quetzal Couple, Costa Rica
This Quetzal couple was busy building a nest and as one would fly in the other one would fly back to the nest. Every once in a while they would end up in the same region together, and I would snap their photographs. They were deep in the shadows, so I was thrilled to be able to capture the images I did. Here the 3’ long split tail of the male can be seen flowing over the branches.
