The Story: This extraordinary wildlife photograph captures an incredibly rare moment as a wild Resplendent Quetzal breeding pair rests together on deep forest branches within the high-altitude canopy. The Technique: Captured deep within the dense, shadowed canopy using a high-resolution Nikon Z8 mirrorless camera and a powerful 200-500mm Nikkor zoom lens mounted on a stable tripod, utilizing an advanced high-ISO sensor readout to resolve immaculate feather patterns in low light while rendering a soft, shimmering blue and white background bokeh.
