IMAGE DESCRIPTIONS:
Story behind the image: As the Greater Flamingos start to take off to fly, they must get a running start in the water, and then when they land they also run for a bit to slow down. It made me wonder as I watched these birds just how much they have to plan where they are going to land before they finally do.
Method: Digital photograph taken with a Nikon Z8, and Nikkor 200-500mm zoom lens through a blind on the wetland of Saline Nature Reserve Priolo in Sicily, Italy using high resolution photography to ensure details are preserved.
