The Story: This dynamic wildlife photograph captures a striking Collared Aracari caught mid-stride as it hops energetically across a thick, moss-covered branch deep within the tropical canopy. Documented during a gentle rain shower near the isolated Laguna del Lagarto Lodge, the misty precipitation beautifully softened the bird's naturally intense yellow and black plumage while deepening the rich tones of the jungle. The Technique: Captured on a rainy afternoon using a high-resolution Nikon Z8 mirrorless camera and a powerful 200-500mm Nikkor zoom lens mounted on a stable tripod, utilizing a fast shutter speed to freeze the bird's rapid hopping motion while the soft, diffused cloud cover dissolved the background into a flawless green bokeh.
