A LITTLE TOO BIG

Snowy Egrets, Huntington Bay, California. One of my sons and I were in his double kayak at low tide searching for shore birds to photograph. We came upon these two egrets fishing, and wow the fish that this one caught was so large we didn’t think it would be able to eat it. Soon this Egret dropped the fish, and the other one swiftly moved in to retrieve it. However, this fish seemed really too large for this Egret and it was struggling to keep it in its mouth.
