Divine Feminine II
Red, the color of life and rebirth, symbol of life, principle of female matter. The offering of wine as a symbolism to embrace and embody the feminine principles in different ways, through perhaps the shedding of or creating a balance with masculine dominated structures.
I created this series of three images as an invitation to the viewer to embrace the feminine and to help create more of a balance in our patriarchal or masculine dominated structures. This image is questioning intention of viewer, perhaps they are not ready to embrace the powers that lie within the feminine.
I painted these images from a live model in my studio in Salt Lake City, Utah.
