Western Grebe, Going for a Run
Western Grebe running across the water, Farmington Bay, Utah. The grebes were swimming to one end of a water section and then standing and running to the other end, and then starting all over again. Some of them appeared to be racing each other, but some of them would run alone. I know this is something they do during mating season, but this was too early in the year for this behavior.
