Mesquite Sand Dunes with the wind blowing, Death Valley National Park, California. As I was driving into Death Valley for the next three days, the weather wasn’t looking very favorable for photography, but I decided to give it a try anyway. The wind was howling, and I held my tripod tightly as I snapped photos. The blowing sand renders a softer image of what can sometimes be very harsh.
