The Story
A vibrant rainbow arches perfectly along the alpine horizon, resting low in front of the legendary five stone peaks of the mountain range as a rugged trail guides the viewer forward. Seeking shelter from a relentless rainstorm inside a local mountainside restaurant, I noticed the sun beginning to break through the cloud cover and rushed out the door to capitalize on the rare weather transition. The Technique
This stunning atmospheric landscape was captured with a Nikon D780 and 28-300mm Nikkor lens, stabilized on a tripod under the fast-moving, high-contrast lighting conditions immediately following a heavy rainstorm.
