Story behind the image: Four Greater Flamingos sleeping in a row on the Priolo Nature reserve in the late afternoon. There isn’t a color variation between the male and female flamingos, and it is only by size that it is possible to identify gender.
Method: Digital photograph taken with a Nikon Z8, and Nikkor 200-500mm zoom lens through a blind on the wetland of Saline Nature Reserve Priolo in Sicily, Italy using high resolution photography to ensure details are preserved.
