Orange Peony Fine Art Print | Stand Out
About the Artwork
The Story: Discovered amidst the peaceful pathways of the Conservation Garden in Salt Lake City, Utah, the lush, delicate layers of this Peony blossom (Paeonia) instantly caught my eye. To make the flower truly leap off the canvas, I chose to play with color contrast during post-processing. By intentionally transforming the entire garden background into a deep, rich black-and-white landscape while keeping the soft, vibrant orange of the petals fully intact, the image creates a striking, modern focal point. It is a beautiful celebration of form and color designed to decisively stand out on any wall.
The Technique: Shot with a high-resolution Nikon camera and a specialized macro lens, this digital photograph is a masterclass in selective color isolation. The close-up composition captures the paper-thin textures of the petals, utilizing the monochrome background conversion to eliminate visual clutter and draw the viewer’s eye entirely to the glowing, warm gradients of the central bloom.
Product Specifications
Dimensions: 14” x 9.5” (Vertical orientation)
The Printing Standard: To ensure museum-grade longevity and retain the crisp contrast between the monochrome background and the warm petals, this image is produced as a premium giclée print using archival, pigment-based inks. I use Masterlab, an independent, family-owned print lab located at 332 East 3300 South in Salt Lake City, as my professional printing and framing studio. Having trusted them with my fine art production for over 25 years, I guarantee every print is individually inspected for flawless color accuracy.
Paper Type: Printed on premium archival Pearl paper. The unique, luminous sheen of the pearlized finish makes the soft orange petals gleam with a realistic, three-dimensional warmth, while giving the black-and-white background a beautiful, silver-etched depth.
