The Story
A powerful cow moose steps gracefully up a grassy hillside meadow, locking eyes with me in a thrilling and intimate wildlife portrait. After watching another moose slip away into the trees, I turned to find this magnificent animal advancing up the trail directly toward my position. The Technique
This sharp, close-range portrait was captured with a Nikon Z8 and 200-500mm Nikkor zoom lens, stabilized on a tripod with a fluid gimbal head in the bright ambient light of the mountain canyon.
