The Technique: Captured handheld from a vehicle window blind for swift panning flexibility, using a high-resolution Nikon Z8 mirrorless camera and a powerful 200-500mm Nikkor zoom lens. I utilized a blistering fast shutter speed to counteract the bird's flight velocity, locking focus precisely on the owl's eye to preserve its sharp expression while cleanly freezing its compressed wing feathers mid-glide.
