Bumblebee on White Cone Flower Giclée Print | Dinner Time
About the Artwork
The Story: Captured during a warm summer afternoon at Red Butte Garden in Salt Lake City, Utah, this vibrant fine art photograph documents an intimate, essential moment of ecological connection. Sitting low to the earth to align with my subject, I focused directly on a wild bumblebee as it carefully harvested pollen from the golden center of a pristine white Cone Flower (Echinacea). The title, "Dinner Time," celebrates the active, buzzing energy of our local pollinators, capturing a lively and joyful snapshot of nature's daily rhythm that brings a fresh, organic warmth to any room.
The Technique: Shot out in the field using a high-resolution Nikon camera and a specialized macro lens, this digital photograph is a masterclass in tack-sharp macro detail. The intentional low-angle composition separates the active bumblebee and the radiating white petals from the surrounding garden, dissolving the background foliage into a dreamlike, sun-dappled bokeh that highlights the magnificent textures of the living world.
