The Story:
As for you, O Magdal-eder,
Watchtower Of the flock,
Stronghold of the Daughter of Zion
The former dominion will be Restored to you;
Kingship will come to the Daughter of Jerusalem
Why do you cry aloud?
Have you no king?
For now you must leave the city,
and camp in the open field,
And from there you shall be restored

The Apostle of the Apostles taught from her heart. The hand is often shown over the heart while praying, or as a sign of respect to another person.
The heart in modern times has come to be seen as the center of feelings. However, many ancient civilizations regarded the heart as the center of intellect and intuition, which we in modern times associate with the head. Even Pascal once remarked, “Great thoughts come from the heart.”
Ancient Egyptians believed the God Ptah conceived the world in his heart before creating it through his spoken words. Symbols of the heart can be seen first used on a Greek amphora dating back to 500 BCE. Five is also a symbol of marriage because it is the first sum of the first even number (2 - female) to the odd number (3- male.) I painted this image from a live model in my Salt Lake City studio.
