Tarot, High Priestess

$175.00

HIGH PRIESTESS – II

The High Priestess beckons you to follow the light of her candle. Following will encourage creativity, stillness, awareness, and a meditative state. Running is a state of meditation that will help with clear thinking. The scale, like her stride, indicates being soft yet strong. The dark and light of the staff is a further indication that balance is crucial. Cats, which are lunar, are an attribute of Isis and Bast, the Egyptian Goddess who appeared in cat form. Since the High Priestess is a Moon Goddess she rules our emotions, imaginations, rhythms, and might represent a pregnant woman. Later in life, the Moon’s association with nurture is reflected in the way we take care of our physical needs, particularly our eating habits. Corn, American Maize, is related to the moon, the eyes remind us to use our intuition, be all seeing, and find the truth. The webbed background depicts the High Priestess as the spider in the center of her web of creation.

Reversed may indicate an emotionally childlike person beset by a sense of not belonging anywhere, which makes it difficult to settle or to commit to relationships. It could indicate a strong attraction to the wrong person. Perhaps you should not withdraw from the outside world and make a commitment.
